Baby Boot Camp is an innovative stroller fitness program designed to balance the fitness needs of moms while spending time with their children. Delivered by nationally certified fitness professionals throughout the United States, Baby Boot Camp stroller-fitness classes include STROLLFIT, STROLLGA, 5K Training Program, and Nutrition Solutions. Created in 2001 by Kristen Horler, Baby Boot Camp strives to help moms regain or enhance their pre-pregnancy fitness levels and meet the physical challenges of parenting by emphasizing strength training in a supportive environment.

  • Kim Colvin

    Kim is originally from a small farming community in eastern Washington. She first moved to Oregon to attend Linfield College where she earned a degree in Finance and, later, a certificate in Accounting. When she became pregnant with her son, Kincaid, in 2012, Kim became a stay-at-home mom. She discovered Baby Boot Camp in 2014. Three months into taking classes, she knew she’d found her passion. Kim decided to pursue a personal trainer certification through ACE in hopes of eventually becoming a Baby Boot Camp instructor. She appreciates the physical benefits and emotional release that regular exercise provides, but Baby Boot Camp adds another component — the ability to work out with other moms with kids in tow. She draws inspiration from the strength and perseverance of her fellow moms and revels in their joy when they’re able to push their bodies to accomplish things they never thought possible (like just getting to class some days). In her spare time, Kim enjoys reading, hiking, baking and spending time with family.
  • Kylan Pimley

    Kylan fell in love with Baby Boot Camp after her daughter was born in October 2009. After attending her first class, she was hooked! As a former gym rat, Kylan wanted to lose the 45lbs she gained with her first pregnancy without having to worry about who was going to watch her daughter. She also wanted to create new friendships with other moms.

    Kylan was trained in ballet for 15 years, holds a Washington State Powerlifting Champion title and State record, and has completed 2 marathons and several 1/2 marathons. Kylan is an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor and is trained in pre and postnatal fitness. Prior to purchasing her Baby Boot Camp franchise, Kylan put her BA in Business and Sports Marketing to use at Nike World Headquarters.

    Kylan enjoys running, skiing, windsurfing, knitting and spending time with her family! She is a wife and mother to daughter, Kellyn, and son, Corbin. Kylan is excited about building a fantastic community of women while helping them reach their fitness goals. She hopes to see you at a Baby Boot Camp class soon!

  • Michele Simantel

    Michele grew up in the Hillsboro area and enjoys raising her two kids (Kellen and Nora) in this wonderful area. She enjoys hiking, watching Oregon Duck football and basketball, spending time at the coast and playing outside with her kids. Michele earned a degree in Land Use Planning from the University of Oregon in 2003 (Go Ducks!) and worked in the planning field for 6 years before having Kellen and deciding to be a stay at home mom. Staying fit and strong have always been important to Michele, most recently completing three half marathons and numerous 10k races. Michele loves the challenge of a difficult workout and Baby Boot Camp has helped her achieve fitness goals and spend time with her two favorite kiddos. Michele is excited to help you achieve you fitness goals with Baby Boot Camp!

  • Andi Mukul

    Andi's passion for fitness started at a very young age. She started like most young girls with dance, but then found her true passion with gymnastics. She obtained a collegiate gymnastics scholarship and competed until age 22. After gymnastics she had a short stint training for fitness shows.

    Andi holds a bachelors degree in Nursing and had additional course work in public health, exercise science and athletic training. While in Nursing school, she decided to become a Labor and Delivery Nurse. The opportunity to be part of the birthing experience was her calling. Being an advocate for women during labor and delivery has been one of the most rewarding aspects of her career. As a nurse it has given her a unique perspective into the health of women and children.

    With the birth of her own two adorable children, she was confronted with so much information about fitness and nutrition, much of which was not always true and/or misconstrued. There is a growing body of literature linking pre-pregnancy and pregnancy nutrition and weight to health outcomes. By combining her background in nursing with her nutrition and fitness interest, she is eager to help women improve their perspective and health around this beautiful event, pregnancy.

  • Megan Buell

    Megan grew up in West Linn and has always been involved in athletics. She competed as a figure skater as a child, but quickly found her passion to lie elsewhere, with soccer. She played soccer through high school and picked up a number of other sports along the way: lacrosse, swimming, track and field, cross country and water polo. She captained her high school lacrosse team and coached swimming for two years after graduation.

    Following high school, Megan attended the University of Portland where she pursued a degree in Biology and neuroscience with the intention of attending medical school. During her four years at UP, she played and captained the woman's water polo team. After graduation, Megan worked as a pharmacy technician at OHSU and was admitted to their pharmacy doctorate program. Soon thereafter, she got married and became pregnant with her son, James. Once James was born, she realized that her true passion was raising James and any future children.

    She discovered Baby Boot Camp when James was 6-months-old and fell in love after the first class! The camaraderie between moms, the partnership with her baby, and the focus on pre- and postnatal fitness made her realize that she had found exactly what she had been searching for! After about a month she decided to pursue her ACE Group Fitness Instructor Certification and began the process of becoming a BBC instructor. Megan looks forward to helping moms achieve their fitness goals while spending quality time with their children!

  • Reagan Mergen

    As an overweight twenty-something, Reagan began her journey toward lifelong health and fitness by seriously changing her diet, discovering group fitness and running (her “therapy”). In the process, she managed to lose over 50 lbs. Fast forward 10 years and 2 beautiful boys later, Reagan was struggling to find a balance between being a mom and meeting her fitness goals. She knew she needed to find a community of moms to work out with. Reagan attended a Baby Boot Camp class and hasn’t looked back since!

    Reagan holds a Master’s degree in Special Education. She worked as both a special education and general education teacher in the Hillsboro School District before eventually becoming a stay-at-home mom. She loves learning and being a part of the learning process. Reagan soon realized that working as a Baby Boot Camp instructor would offer her the perfect opportunity to combine her two passions -- teaching and being physically active. She is an avid runner. She has completed a marathon, several half marathons and numerous 10K/5Ks. Reagan enjoys mountain biking and she's even given cyclocross a try!
